The conference is the culminating scientific event of the research project
“Digital Thrace: mapping history and culture for the quality upgrade of the tourism product”,
which was funded by national and EU funds in the framework the “Regional Excellence” program. The volume includes a total of 30 contributions by eminent and young researchers who are working in the fields of history, archaeology, philology, art history, museology, architecture, linguistics, pedagogy, cultural management and IT, and are focusing on Thrace, one of the most underdeveloped regions of Greece and EU.
