Συμμετοχή (κατόπιν πρόσκλησης) σε workshop του Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen για την ψηφιακότητα στην ιστορική εκπαίδευση (12-13 Δεκεμβρίου 2024)
Τα μέλη του Εργαστηρίου Άγγελος Παληκίδης και Κυριάκος Σγουρόπουλος συμμετείχαν ως προσκεκλημένοι ομιλητές στο Workshop “Digitalizing Southeastern Europe: Workshop on Digital History, Methods, and Gamification”, το οποίο πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Giessen της Γερμανίας στις 12-13 Δεκεμβρίου 2024. Διοργάνωση: Südosteuropa Gesellshaft, Prof. Dr. Nicole Immig. Τα θέματα που παρουσίασαν το ερευνητικό πρόγραμμα ΨΗΦΙΑΚΗ ΘΡΑΚΗ και συζήτησαν με το ερευνητικό προσωπικό του γερμανικού πανεπιστημίου και τους ειδικούς σύνεδρους για ζητήματα ψηφιακής παιγνιώδους μάθησης (gamification).
The Lausanne Project, TLP (2017 – )
The Project takes its name from the longest-lasting of the post-First World War peace settlements: the 1923 Treaty of Lausanne. Lausanne redrew borders and forcibly displaced well over a million people, all in the name of peace. Our programs provide a forum for scholars to share research on relations between the Middle East and the rest of the world, to collaborate with high school teachers, artists and curators, and to inform contemporary debates around identity, faith, migration and health. Conferences, workshops, publications, podcasts, multilingual education materials, digital exhibitions are the main outcomes of TLP. Into this context, Angelos Palikidis, one of the convenors of TLP, is running educational workshops, joined by Greek and Turkish history teachers and students. Currently he is co-drafting the trilingual book “Teaching Lausanne. A Guide for Teachers” (expected to be published in 2026).
Joint History Project 2.0 (2025 – )
JHP is a groundbreaking project, started in 1998. Its core mission was to create a collection of historical sources from Southeast European countries, designed to inspire students and empower history teachers with diverse perspectives, equipping teachers and students with the tools to analyze and debate national historical narratives, fostering critical thinking not only about the past but also the present and future. The main outcomes are six workbooks, which cover the period from the Ottoman Empire to the 21st century. These books are published in English and the majority of the Balkan languages. Angelos Palikidis is one of the friends of the JHP, participated in its workshops and conferences, and co-published papers.
History Education and the Council of Europe
Since 2012 Angelos Palikidis serves as an expert at the Council of Europe. Participating in workshops, seminars and conferences focused on research on history teaching in the 47 member states of the organization, while disseminating the vision of the CoE for peace and democracy, together with innovative teaching methods, he joined initiatives and publications, such as “Shared histories for a Europe without dividing lines” (2014), “Quality history education in the 21st century. Principles and guidelines” (2018) and the “General Report on the State of History Teaching in Europe” (2023), an initiative of the Observatory on History Teaching in Europe. He was head and principal investigator of the research projects “Shared histories for a Europe without dividing lines” (2016). He is currently drafting the “Report on History Teaching at Regional Level” on behalf of the Congress of Local & Regional Authorities (2025).
Μνήμες από την Κατοχή στην Ελλάδα (MOG)
Το έργο «Μνήμες από την Κατοχή στην Ελλάδα» διαφυλάσσει τη μνήμη Ελλήνων που βιώσαν τη γερμανική κατοχή της Ελλάδας από τα ναζιστικά στρατεύματα. Οι μαρτυρίες τους καταγράφονται, ερευνώνται και διατίθενται σε μια διαδικτυακή πλατφόρμα. Το έργο χρηματοδοτήθηκε από το Υπουργείο Εξωτερικών της Ομοσπονδιακής Δημοκρατίας της Γερμανίας, το Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος, το Ίδρυμα «Μνήμη, Ευθύνη και Μέλλον» (EVZ) και το Ελεύθερο Πανεπιστήμιο του Βερολίνου. Τμήμα αυτού του έργου αποτέλεσε η ψηφιακή έκδοση «Μνήμες από την Κατοχή στην Ελλάδα. Οδηγός για Εκπαιδευτικούς», που συντάχθηκε από τον Άγγελο Παληκίδη και διατίθεται με ανοικτή πρόσβαση σε εκπαιδευτικούς.
Εθνολογικό Μουσείο Θράκης
Το Εργαστήριο έχει εμπεδώσει σχέσεις συνεργασίας με το Εθνολογικό Μουσείο Θράκης, ένα από τα σημαντικότερα μουσεία στην Ελλάδα, συμβάλλοντας στις ερευνητικές του δραστηριότητες και στα εκπαιδευτικά του προγράμματα, καθώς και συνοργανώνοντας έρευνες.
